Educational Visits

Educational visits extend the learning opportunities available to the children. Parents/carers are asked to give permission whenever children are to be taken off the school premises.

The school aims to provide a variety of experiences outside the school environment, including educational, cultural or leisure activities.

An outdoor residential visit is offered to Year 3 and 4 pupils during the Summer Term and to Year 5 and 6 pupils in the Autumn term.

We follow National and Local Authority regulations for the safe organization and management of Educational Visits.

It is the policy of the school to ask for voluntary contributions to cover the cost of some visits. The school aims to subsidise the cost of these trips through fundraising activities. In cases of real financial difficulties, parents should discuss the matter with the Headteacher. Flexible arrangements for making contributions can also be organised.

The school will try to run all proposed visits. However, if there is little parental support, it will mean visits have to be cancelled.
